In a distinguished academic achievement, the National University of Science and Technology secured first place in the Southern Iraq University Debates, which saw active participation from university students across the region.

The competition was exciting and featured dynamic debates between students from the National University of Science and Technology, Shatt Al-Arab College, and Al-Muthanna University, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and competitiveness among the participating teams.

Students showcased remarkable skills in the art of debating, tackling important academic and social issues, allowing them to express their opinions and develop critical thinking skills. The National University team stood out with their strong performance and well-researched arguments, earning them a place in the final stage of the competition.

The final debates will take place in a grand closing ceremony in Baghdad, attended by the Honorable Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who will recognize the winning teams and encourage students to continue their academic endeavors. This event serves as an opportunity for students to connect with peers from different universities and strengthen academic collaboration between educational institutions.

In his statement, Professor Dr. Falah Al-Asadi, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs of the university, extended his gratitude and appreciation to the students of the debate team for their outstanding efforts that led to this achievement. He also expressed his pride in all participating universities and commended the role of the International Academy for Leadership and Development in organizing this event, which significantly contributes to promoting a culture of debate and dialogue among students.
