The National University of Science and Technology Sponsors the Finals of the University Debate World Cup in Baghdad

As part of its commitment to enhancing scientific culture and critical thinking, the National University of Science and Technology sponsored the finals of the University Debate World Cup in collaboration with the International Academy for Leadership and Development, under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The final events kicked off with the participation of four universities. The National University of Science and Technology represented Southern Iraq after securing first place. The Mustansiriyah University, Tikrit University, and Al-Sibtain University also participated.

The event was attended by Professor Dr. Ihab Najy, Director of Studies and Planning at the Ministry, representing the Minister. The delegation of the National University was headed by Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Rubaei. The students engaged in the university debates in an atmosphere of competitive enthusiasm with their peers from other universities.

At the end of the event, the International Academy for Leadership and Development presented the Innovation Shield to the National University in recognition of its hosting of such distinguished activities. In turn, the university president expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all participating students from various universities for their dedicated efforts in dialogue and oratory. He noted that this academic achievement would represent Iraq in the upcoming Debate World Cup in Qatar.
