The role of the National University of Science and Technology in its positive interaction with the local community and influencing it in order to qualify its human resources, rehabilitate its members and educate them to confront societal challenges and obstacles is one of the most important pillars of its social responsibilities. The National University of Science and Technology performs three main functions: education, scientific research and community service. Based on the vision of the National University of Science and Technology to achieve excellence and in line with the university’s pioneering, awareness-raising and educational role in society and environmental development, the Center for Community Service and Continuing Education was established. The field of work of the Community Service and Continuing Education Center includes two basic activities: community service activities aimed at employing the university’s capabilities and its human and material resources in providing various community services to all segments of society. The second type of activities are educational activities aimed at disseminating knowledge and increasing the chances of accepting male and female students in majors. To achieve its goals, the Center for Community Service and Continuing Education provides scientific studies, community research projects, and specific training programs that contribute to developing the professional capabilities and skills of human cadres working in governmental and non-governmental institutions specialized in all administrative, financial, technical, educational, scientific, linguistic, health, and technical fields. In cooperation with a group of distinguished experts working in various university units.
Tasks and duties
: The tasks and duties of the Center for Continuing Education at the National University of Science and Technology are as follows
- Providing continuing educational programs and activities in various scientific and academic fields, to meet the needs of individuals and communities and the requirements of the labor market. These activities include (training courses, conferences and seminars, awareness programs, online training programs)
- Cooperating with government and private agencies to provide distinguished educational services. This is to provide ongoing educational programs and activities in cooperation with government agencies, such as ministries and government departments. Providing ongoing educational programs and activities in cooperation with private entities, such as private companies and institutions.
- Conducting scientific research and studies in the field of continuing education. These researches and studies aim to develop continuing education, improve its quality, and provide more effective educational services.

Objectives
Training and enhancing the research and technical aspects of the teaching staff and all their publishing methods, magazines, conferences, e-learning, etc. Strengthening and developing the administrative capabilities and technical skills of workers in local private and governmental institutions. Preparing training programs for the community by participating in a positive and effective way in modernizing and developing the community. Fourth: Holding seminars, workshops and professional conferences in specializations that serve the public interest, in order to confirm and consolidate the university’s role in society.
