Under the patronage of the Honorable Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and in the presence of representatives from the local government and Iraqi universities, the National University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the International Academy for Leadership and Development, hosted the Second University Debate World Cup with the participation of several universities from Southern Iraq.
The opening ceremony featured speeches highlighting the significance of this event. Professor Dr. Falah Al-Asadi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs of the university, praised the efforts of both the academy and the university in empowering and developing students' skills. He emphasized that the Debate World Cup provides a valuable opportunity for students to enhance their abilities and exchange important ideas.
Additionally, Dr. Moath Al-Rawi, Director of the International Academy for Leadership and Development, commended the National University’s dedication in hosting this event for two consecutive seasons. He acknowledged the university’s provision of all necessary logistical support, reflecting its commitment to education and student development.
This event aligns with the universities' efforts to promote dialogue and discussion skills among students, contributing to the formation of a generation capable of critical thinking and effective self-expression.
During the opening ceremony, participating universities and the International Academy for Leadership and Development were honored with the Creativity Shield, recognizing their contributions to education and student skill development. The National University of Science and Technology expressed its gratitude for the valuable contributions made by these institutions in enhancing the learning experience and fostering student growth.
