Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024
Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024
The Times Higher Education Impact Ranking is a global university ranking system that evaluates institutions based on their progress toward achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). First introduced in 2019, this ranking emphasizes the societal impact of universities rather than relying solely on traditional academic metrics such as research output and teaching performance. The ranking is structured around 17 SDGs, including quality education, gender equality, climate action, good health and well-being, industry and innovation, and partnerships for the goals. Universities are assessed based on a range of indicators that measure their contribution to sustainable development, such as sustainability-related research, institutional policies, and community initiatives. The primary objective of this ranking is to encourage universities to adopt sustainable practices and enhance their positive impact on society, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable global future.
