Under the patronage of the Honorable Prime Minister, Engineer Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, and under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and within the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, under the slogan “Towards an Entrepreneurial Society”, the first entrepreneurship and innovation workshop was held today at the National University, organized by the University’s Department of Scientific Affairs, in the presence of students. The advanced staff at the National University, Assistant to the President of the National University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Falah Al-Asadi, confirmed during his speech that “all the university’s resources are available to students and researchers in order to complete and develop their projects.” Engineer Al-Hawraa Talal Abdel Hamid, Regional Coordinator of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, also pointed out the fundamental role of the forum in encouraging projects and entrepreneurship as a societal responsibility and a national duty. She explained that the pioneering role of the forum is to transfer the expertise of specialists and academics to promising young people in order to hone their expertise and encourage them to establish… Innovative projects.
Member of the Ministerial Committee, Dr. Toma Mutair, and the President of the National University, Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Laibi Al-Rubaie, honored the innovative students at our university, who are:

Student Sarah Suhail and student Mohamed Hossam in the College of Engineering Technologies, Department of Medical Engineering Technologies
Mr. Muhammad Rashid Majeed, Director of the Rehabilitation and Development Division, provided an introductory overview of the “Riyadah” project and also a closer look at the policies for encouraging entrepreneurship in Iraq and the role of the National University of Science and Technology in supporting entrepreneurship and innovation projects.
The workshop also included a presentation by Dr. Muhammad Ayad, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department at the university, entitled “No Entrepreneurship Without Scientific Research.”
The activities of the third day of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week concluded with the opening of the Innovative Students Exhibition at the National University of Science and Technology.
